Public Meetings
The revitalization of the central Delaware riverfront started with Philadelphians getting together to define the values and principles that best reflect Philadelphia’s distinct characteristics. We heard you! Here at the DRWC we recognize that the public is an integral and valued part of the waterfront planning process. Today we are committed to creating a citizen-driven master plan. We firmly believe that by having a public and open planning process we will improve the quality of the master plan and that the master plan will benefit from the diverse values and opinions that will be voiced throughout the planning process. It is our hope that you will get involved and that you will enjoy being an integral part of the master planning process. This is your waterfront – help us plan for its future!

Types of Public Meetings
- Public Forums
DRWC will sponsor three large Public Forums at the end of each phase of the project to present the findings of that phase and solicit feedback. These forums are targeted towards the general public. - Civic Cluster Meetings
DRWC will work with the Central Delaware Advocacy Group (CDAG) to host three rounds of meetings with area civic associations. In each round, there will be one meeting in the northern area of the project area and another in the southern area, although both meetings will be open to everyone. These Civic Cluster Meetings will take place before each large Public Forum and target input from the local riverward civic associations, though they are open to anyone. - Working Group Meetings
The Plan for the Central Delaware Working Group includes over 40 members that represent public officials, government agencies, and non-profit or civic organizations that may have a role in implementing the results of the Plan (see full list of organizations on the “Partners” page). Periodically throughout the project, the project team will present interim work products to the Working Group in order to insure that the project team is adquately addressing issues from ALL stakeholder groups. - Stakeholder Focus Groups
In order to secure structured input from specific stakeholder interests, the project team will conduct several focus groups (essentially an in-person, structured, group interview), including focus groups for boating (powered and non-powered), other recreational users (runners, walkers, bicyclists, skateboarders, etc.), historians (amateur and professional), and business owners and operators.
